The Cabernet Franc grape is a self-fertile variety. In Scotland, like all grapes, we recommend that it is grown in a greenhouse. This classic French Claret variety produces small black fruits that ripen late in the season. The dark purple-red grapes yield an excellent wine with a delightful blackcurrant note and can also make a refreshing juice when sweetened.
