Our pot-grown Christmas trees are grown in their containers, rather than being transferred from soil to pot before sale. This allows for a full root system to form within the pot, providing it with the best chance at survival whether you keep it in the container or plant it in your garden.
A good tip is that when you are ready to move the tree from inside to outside, don’t throw it straight from a spot near a radiator out into the Scottish winter. If you can allow it to acclimatise a little it will reduce the chance of the tree being ‘shocked’ by the cold, and improve its chances of survival for next year.
