Anyone over the age of 30 will recognise the smell of the Norway Spruce as “The Christmas Tree”. Picea abies (Latin name) was for many years the only kind of Christmas tree that you could buy in Scotland. Norway Spruce is one of the most wildly cultivated trees around the world. They’re also great for those who prefer a bushier, fuller tree – particularly at the bottom, you won’t see gaps through the tree.
Norway Spruces do start to drop their needles once cut, and particularly when in the warm. All real Christmas trees need water, this is especially true of the Norway Spruce. Why not visit out Christmas Tree Care page to find out more.
