Autumn is an exciting time of year in the garden - nature's time for planting!
Take advantage of warm, wet weather to get shrubs planted before the frosts begin.
It's also the time to get your Spring bulbs in the ground or planted up in pots - daffodils, tulips and others are planted now as bulbs for impressive displays of colour from February through until April.
With leaves beginning to fall you can help keep your lawn healthy by raking away leaves to allow the light to get through, and while you're at it a good feed with a slow release Autumn lawn feed will support strong root growth, prevent moss and give grass a jump start into next Spring!
If you've bought a lovely new furniture set this year a good quality cover for Winter will keep the worst of the weather at bay and ensure it's ready for you to make best use of again next year - or uncover for a mid-Winter get together if weather allows - fingers crossed!
